Job Description:
Aston Medical School is seeking a permanent, full-time Lecturer in Bioinformatics and Genomic Medicine to join its growing academic team. This non-clinical post involves both teaching and research, with a particular focus on the new MSc and MRes programmes in Bioinformatics and Genomic Medicine launching in September 2025[1][2]. The successful candidate will conduct research in areas such as genomic, transcriptomic, or epigenomic analysis and contribute to shaping innovative, future-facing education[2]. This role aligns with Aston University's 2030 strategy to become a leading institution in science and technology[2]. Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant discipline, postdoctoral experience, and a developing research profile. The university offers a generous benefits package and confirms that the role is likely to meet the requirements for a Skilled Worker visa[2].
