Job Description:
The Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB) in Norwich is seeking a Research Scientist for a fixed-term contract until March 2030. This position, based in Prof. Arjan Narbad's group, is funded by the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Gastrointestinal Infections[3][4]. The successful candidate will analyze the gut microbiome using advanced sequencing (metagenomics) and metabolomics to investigate GI diseases. This role aligns with your interest in food production and safety research and the Quadram Institute's mission to innovate in gut health and microbiology[1][2][5]. Applicants must hold a PhD in Microbiology and have experience with next-generation sequencing platforms and bioinformatics. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
